You are to start and complete two A4 drawings this week, using different media (NOT just pencil on white paper) - consider white charcoal on black, pencil on brown paper, Indian Ink etc - think back to the first portfolio page you completed of Natural Forms. These are due at the end of class on Friday - no exceptions. I will also be looking at your two previous pencil drawings you completed last week - you should have a total of 4 drawings complete by the end of this week.
Fri 1st Mar
Thur 25 Oct:
Go to www.pinterest.com/mrsleeart and look in the 10IGCSE folder for collages by Michael Mew. Select
two of collages that interest you most. Print both images (to paste onto an A3 research page). You will
chose one of the two to complete an indepth analysis of using the Art Analysis Worksheet - see below. Complete this worksheet over the weekend and come in ready to start your research page. You will also
need to collect images or papers that look similar to the work of Michael Mew that you have selected - you
will be making a collage that is a replica of the chosen work.
It would be very beneficial if you complete your collage or paintings or at the least start an analysis of
your own work - just making notes at this stage is fine but ensure you have notes so I can go over these and give you feedback.
REMINDER: Bring in an object to draw (based on your selected botanical style) eg insects
(real or models), fruit, flowers etc. You will use this for at least your observational drawing
and hopefully your recreation of a botanical style (for task 4 on tasksheet, you may draw
from a photograph if you have difficulty getting an actual object but task 5 MUST be an observational drawing).
BEFORE: Thur 11 Oct
Thurs 27 Sept:

3. Select item of food (popular/contemporary food item) to continue with for next task.
